Diana Lovejoy and Mulvihill Lovejoy

According to Oxygen,  Cracks in the storybook facade began to show. Mulvihill was forced into unemployment, which placed Lovejoy into the role of sole provider. Friends remember she had chronic fatigue and believed her health was fading.

"She believed that she had fibromyalgia and believed that her son had an illness that all stemmed from some kidney illness," said Brenton. Eventually, Lovejoy's health and other issues led to the couple splitting in 2014. By 2016, both Mulvihill and Lovejoy were working and co-parenting, even though their divorce wasn't finalized.

The two men went to the isolated spot the caller had specified with a child's baseball bat and mountain bike light. That's when they saw "somebody in camouflage, on their belly, with a rifle," explained Brenton. The two ran from the scene, but the man fired multiple rounds. Mulvihill was shot once under the armpit, and he survived after an emergency surgery, the San Diego Reader reported.
Authorities, however, weren't buying the story.

Cynthia Coates and Corey Storey

According to the Kokomo Tribune,  Coates was sentenced in November 2016 to 20 years behind bars following a plea deal brokered just days before she was scheduled to stand trial on a count of murder. Instead, she entered into an agreement pleading guilty to a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter, a Level 2 felony. At the time of his death, Story was working as an in-home caregiver to Tommie Hammock Jr., who found his body in his home on Oct. 25, 2014, after Coates, his friend, drove him home from a birthday party, according to a probable-cause affidavit. Coates was at the party previously, but left to get her car washed. Hammock was noted in the affidavit as saying she returned to the party two hours later, but the car was unwashed. It was suspected she shot Story in that time frame. Her victim was Corey Storey.  Links Woman Kills Lover, Buries Evidence At Her Granddaughter's Grave Kokomo woman sentenced to 20 years behind bars You can write ...

Crystal Mangum and Reginald Daye

Defendant and Reginald Daye (“Daye”) met through mutual friends in January 2011. One month later, the two began living together along with defendant's three children. On 3 April 2011, defendant and Daye went to a party around 11:00 p.m. and returned to the apartment complex where they lived (“the apartment”) approximately an hour and a half later. Durham Police Department (“DPD”) Officer Curtis Knight (“Knight”) was waiting for an illegally-parked vehicle to be towed from the apartment complex when defendant and Daye approached Knight's patrol car and asked what he was doing. Knight told them. Daye and defendant then entered the apartment, but a few minutes later they were back outside. Knight heard Daye yelling, “give me my money” at defendant, referring to $700 he had given defendant to hold for rent. After Knight told them that they could not be outside making so much noise, defendant and Daye went back inside the apartment. Daye's nephew, Carlos Wilson...
