Cynthia Mueller and David Mueller

Cynthia Mueller
In season 24 episode 12, the story of Cynthia and David Mueller is shown. This does not end well for David as he is murdered and Cynthia is incarcerated.

Snapped describes this episode as When medical examiners determine that a terminally ill Arizona man may have not died from natural causes as his family previously thought, a homicide investigation begins to unravel the truth.

She was sentenced to life without parole.

Her appeal includes: The State charged Mueller with first degree murder, a Class 1 felony; conspiracy to commit first degree murder, a Class 1 felony; fraudulent schemes and artifices, a Class 2 felony and unlawful use of a
power of attorney, a Class 2 felony, in connection with her husband’s death in November 2012. After a nine-day trial, the jury found Mueller guilty as charged. The court sentenced Mueller to concurrent life terms on the
murder and conspiracy convictions to be served consecutive to concurrent five-year prison terms on the other convictions. This court has jurisdiction over Mueller’s timely appeal pursuant to Article 6, Section 9, of the Arizona Constitution and Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) sections 12-
120.21(A)(1), 13-4031, 13-4033(A) (2016).1

Cynthia Coates and Corey Storey

According to the Kokomo Tribune,  Coates was sentenced in November 2016 to 20 years behind bars following a plea deal brokered just days before she was scheduled to stand trial on a count of murder. Instead, she entered into an agreement pleading guilty to a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter, a Level 2 felony. At the time of his death, Story was working as an in-home caregiver to Tommie Hammock Jr., who found his body in his home on Oct. 25, 2014, after Coates, his friend, drove him home from a birthday party, according to a probable-cause affidavit. Coates was at the party previously, but left to get her car washed. Hammock was noted in the affidavit as saying she returned to the party two hours later, but the car was unwashed. It was suspected she shot Story in that time frame.
